Ruth Wilson, a Surrey schoolgirl, disappeared in Box Hill on 27 November 1995. She was aged 16 when she skipped school to take a taxi to a bridleway where she stood still in the rain.

Susannah Lamplugh was a British estate agent reported missing on 28 July 1986. She was officially declared dead, presumed murdered, in 1993. The last clue to Lamplugh's whereabouts was an appointment to show a house to someone she called Mr Kipper.

He had visited Masca overnight and at 8am he asked a stranger when the next bus to Los Cristianos was due and when told it was 10am, Slater walked off into the mountainous terrain some 20 miles (and potentially 11 hours walk) from his apartment where he was staying.

Mr Cruel is the moniker for an unidentified Australian serial child rapist who attacked three girls in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is also the prime suspect in the 1991 abduction and murder of a fourth girl.

Sarah Boone is a Florida woman accused of zipping her boyfriend into a suitcase, filming his cries for help and then leaving him to die in February 2020.
She is facing trial on second-degree murder charges. Boone told police that she put him in the luggage as part of a game of hide-and-seek that went wrong.

John Forsyth disappeared on May 21, 2023 from a parking area at a public swimming pool. His body, which had suffered an apparent gunshot wound, was found nine days later.

Jenny was mysteriously stabbed to death in her own home, located in a peaceful community in Castro Valley, California on May 27, 1994, two days after her fourteenth birthday.

On December 12, 1985, Mike Riemer, 36, his girlfriend, Diana Robertson, 21, and their daughter, Crystal Robertson, age 2, traveled from their Tacoma home to Pierce County, planning to find a Christmas tree. Later that evening, customers at a Kmart store 30 mi (48 km) north in Spanaway found the couple's daughter, Crystal, standing outside the store entrance. When asked where her mother was, the dazed two-year-old told her grandmother that her "Mommy was in the trees."
On February 18, 1986, over two months after the couple's disappearance, the body of Diana Robertson was discovered half-buried in snow by a motorist near a logging road off of Washington State Route 7, just south of Elbe. Riemer's pickup truck was also found near Robertson's body.
On March 26, 2011, hikers discovered a partial human skull later determined to be that of Mike Riemer. It was found in an area within a mile radius of where Robertson's body had been discovered in 1986.
After recovery of the skull, Lewis County investigators stated that they believed Riemer could have been a possible victim of homicide as well, though his cause of death could not be determined.
Based on the condition of the skull, however, authorities were able to rule out a gunshot wound to the head. -
On September 25, 2013, Norman Police Department conducted a welfare check at Owachige's address only to find the front door kicked open and Owachige deceased in an upstairs bedroom. Her body was partially decomposed and bore signs off trauma on the upper torso. Owachige was last seen and had been with friends the day before her body was discovered.
