A teenage high school student, Hae Min Lee was abducted and supposedly killed on January 13th, 1999 in Baltimore County, Maryland. It was suspected that Adnan Syed, an ex of Lee’s, was involved though there is no physical evidence that proves it. The only evidence against them is the fact he has a loose alibi and that a teenager named Jay Wilds claiming that Syed had contacted him to help hide Lee’s body in Leakin Park. Wilds testimony constantly changed throughout several interviews and often gave useless or wrong claims to the police. This case was also mistreated on the fact they put away a man who could potentially be innocent as well as have tunnel vision on a case and overlook the current boyfriend of Lee’s at the time.
