Herbert Richard Baumeister was an American businessman and suspected serial killer. A resident of the Indianapolis suburb of Westfield, Indiana, Baumeister was under investigation for murdering over a dozen men in the early 1990s, most of whom were last seen at gay bars

Thousands of bones and bone fragments were unearthed at Fox Hollow Farm in Westfield, Indiana in the summer of 1996. Investigators believe Herb Baumeister picked up men in gay bars and brought them back to his home where he killed them. Eight victims were eventually named, but many of the remains are still sitting unidentified in storage. It’s something Hamilton County coroner Jeff Jellison is working to change.
